Anderson - Skills 101 /
Job Development
Lesley emigrated from Scotland. Her background includes
20 years of working with youth, she has been a TV producer,
SPCA officer, and Executive Assistant for the BIA. Many of
these positions kept her extremely active within her community.
Lesley is certified in Life Skills, Job Club and Assessment Component of Employment Counselling. This is where she discovered her true calling assisting unemployed people to
feel better about themselves, take control of their lives, thus
enabling them to find employment.

Trina Venier - Skills 101 / Job Development
Born in Alberta, raised in the Okanagan and moved to Chilliwack, joining the CES team in 2003, Trina has been working in Employment Services since 2000. While in her last year of University, Trina was given the opportunity to work as a Job Placement Assistant for an Okanagan based employment service and has never looked back. Assisting individuals while working towards their career goals has and continues to be an enriching experience.

Jamie Hoskins - Career Decision Making Facilitator
Jamie's professional background has centered mainly on work in the social services and employment counselling fields where he has focused on helping people find work in careers that fit their unique backgrounds, interests, and needs. He himself has had a varied employment history that has included self-employment, facilitation and consulting, social scientific research, and employment counselling.
He began his career as an employment facilitator with Chilliwack Employment Services in 2001 and, after a four year break to pursue his academic and professional interests, he is now back at CES where he facilitates one of our three week Career Decision Making workshops.

Maurice Lefebvre - - Career Decision Making Facilitator
Maurice was born and raised in the Fraser Valley, graduated with a Bachelor of Education and Professional Certificate from University of Victoria in 1997, and taught in Chilliwack, Campbell River and Japan until 2005. Since 2006 he has worked in the employment field as a facilitator, counselor, disability specialist and case manager for the communities of Mission, Abbotsford and Chilliwack. He is excited to be working back in his hometown and putting his teaching experience back to good use.

Barbara Blom – Client Service Rep
Born and raised in the Lower Mainland, Barbara joined her husband as he followed his new career in radio, which took them to
Barbara has worked almost 20 years in various office settings in such positions as Office Administrator, Accounts Payable Clerk and Assistant Purchaser and she feels very fortunate to be able to utilize her skills at CES and assist our clients in realizing their potential.

Susan is a Sunshine Coast transplant. Her back ground includes twenty plus years in office environments covering everything from logistics to database management. She is a certified Technical Support Person and handles our Computer Help Desk. When she is not managing the CES database and compiling the stats for Service Canada, you will see her acting as a Customer Service Representative at our front desk.

Sarah Bright – Job Search Strategies for Employment – Facilitator/Administrator
Born and raised in England, Sarah emigrated with her family in the Spring of 2007 and has made Chilliwack her home. Sarah has over 18 years experience in the administration field, working in many office settings as a Personal Assistant, Team Administrator and Secretary in the rail industry. Sarah was excited to join our CES Team and enjoys sharing her skills and experiences with clients on their job seeking journeys.

Lisa Kinakin, born in Chilliwack, raised in Alberta, returned to Chilliwack and has settled here for the past seven years. Lisa began her career as a Legal Secretary and worked in Court Order Enforcement for ten years but needed a change. She began working in an Administrative position in a facility for Alzheimer’s patients and found it to be very rewarding. In 2002, wanting to continue in a field of assisting others she began working in Employment Services as a Data Manager/Customer Service Representative for people with disabilities looking for employment. As well, she was the Program Assistant for the Self Employment Program and continues her career in Employment Services in an Administrative/Facilitating capacity with CES Job Search Strategies. She feels very fortunate to do a job she truly loves.
